  Kick off the new year with the Mothers of Children with Special Needs Subgroup for 2 hours of private open play at We Rock the Spectrum.

  We Rock the Spectrum is a sensory based indoor gym committed to providing a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for ALL kids. During Open Play, kids have full run of the gym, including swings, crash mats, trampolines, tunnels, and the zip line, as well as fine motor toys and an arts & crafts area with chalkboard.

  WMF has rented out the facility for the afternoon. Family members, including dads and other caregivers, are welcome to attend. We recommend this event for children ages 2 and up, though all are welcome. We will provide nut-free snacks and drinks.

  The cost is $22 per child (infants under 1 year old are free), which is discounted from the regular open play price. Please list each child and their age in your registration information. Please also add each child over age 1 as a guest. Adults are free.

  Please note that we cannot generally issue refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to an event. Please email if you have extenuating circumstances. 

  We recommend this event for kids ages 2 and up, though all are welcome. A parent or guardian must accompany children at all times. No shoes are allowed on the gym floor. Grip socks are required for all children, which are available to purchase. Adults must wear socks.

  Screen time and other digital platforms play a huge role in the lives of our children. They serve as learning tools, entertainment, ways to connect with family and friends. But for some, screen time and social media use can become all-consuming, stressful or even unsafe. The good news is that researchers have identified some effective ways to help parents and kids navigate the ever-changing digital world.

  Join Allison Baker, MD, a local and international expert, double board-certified child, adult and perinatal psychiatrist and a member of the Advisory Board of Wait Until 8th, as she guides us in raising healthy happy children in the digital age. Whether your child is preschool, elementary or middle school age, you won't want to miss this lecture! 

  

  Join us for social time 7 PM. The lecture will begin promptly at 7:30 PM. Guests welcome, add them when registering. Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early!

  Neha Ruch is the founder of Mother Untitled, the leading platform for ambitious women leaning into family life. A thought leader, influencer, and sought-after speaker focusing on women, work, parenting and identity, Neha has sparked meaningful, supportive conversations, catalyzing a shift in how society views stay-at-home motherhood.

  After 10 years working in Brand Strategy and receiving her MBA from Stanford, Neha decided to pause her career after the birth of her second child. She quickly encountered outdated stereotypes associated with being a stay-at-home mother—stereotypes that seemed more fitting to a bygone era than her own experience or the modern women she was meeting.   Join the Mothers of Children with Special Needs (MOCWSN) subgroup for a casual daytime hang to swap stories, ask questions, share advice and experiences, and just catch up with each other. We'll serve coffee and light snacks. Drop by when you can and stay for as long as you're able between 9:30am and 11:30am. This event is open to all WMF members, and is particularly geared towards moms who identify as having a child with special needs (in whatever way you define that).

  The Wellesley Mothers Forum invites all new and expecting moms to a casual stroll! Feel free to come with your young kids, or just yourselves! All moms are welcome.

  Note - this location is on a trail path, so carriers only (strollers are not possible). Please note that this event is one in a series of strolls we are hosting through the winter. Additionally, you can opt in to a group thread (via WhatsApp) to further the connection and support for one another. Meet at Centennial Park (parking off of Oakland St), we will walk a trail. There are many trail options that loop around the park; we won't venture too far from the parking lot so that you can easily warm up in your car if the weather is chilly.
