The Charitable Givings Committee brings you a moms' night out event with a philanthropic twist! Come on out to Hipstitch in Wellesley for a night of sipping wines, nibbling on charcuterie, and sewing pillowcases for the pediatric patients at Massachusetts General Hospital.
A hospital experience can be terrifying and traumatic for both a child and their family. These homemade whimsical pillowcases give children an emotional boost. With every stitch, yard of fabric, and pillowcase, we get one step closer to our goal of helping kids with cancer and life-changing illnesses feel better so that they can heal better.
This event includes sewing instruction and all materials. Pillowcases are beginner level sewing, but you don't need to sew to attend this event. We are also in need of people to help pin the fabric. Our goal is 50 pillowcases, which is the amount used by MGH in one month. Please help us reach our goal!
