Are you a new mom of a baby under 1 looking to connect with other moms in the community? Come chat about the challenges, joys, struggles, and triumphs of motherhood in a supportive non-judgmental environment. Babies are welcome!
The group will be facilitated by Lily Walsh, M.A. Lily is a fourth-year clinical psychology doctoral student at William James College in Newton, MA. She has a Bachelor of Science from New York University and a masters degree in clinical psychology from William James College.
She has an acute interest and budding expertise in peripartum mental health care. She currently provides therapy to women trying to get pregnant, women dealing with infertility, women who are pregnant, and women navigating life postpartum. She is also a DONA trained childbirth doula and has supported women throughout the birthing process.
Additionally, Lily has provided trauma-focused treatment at NYU’s Child Study Center, The Italian Home for Children in Boston, the Hill Center for Women at McLean Hospital in Belmont, and Cambridge Health Alliance’s Child and Adolescent Inpatient Units. She has had extensive training in evidence-based treatments such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
