Charitable Givings Drive: Newborn Necessities

Newborn Necessities is part of Mass General Hospital that works to support new mothers in need, and this month, WMF is partnering with them to support this mission.

Most of the women Newborn Necessities assists are recent immigrants, uninsured, unemployed, or living in shelters, and the need for these supplies is unfathomable. The social workers at the clinic give care packages to the neediest new moms at MGH Chelsea. These packages include diapers, wipes, ointment, bibs, hats, outfits, and a book. Newborn Necessities relies on generous donations like ours every month.

The current needs include:

• Size 1 Diapers (new packages)
• Size 0-6 mos sleep gowns (new or gently used)
• Swaddler sleep sacks (new or gently used)
• Size 3 month footed sleepers (new or gently used)
• Baby blankets - not receiving blankets, more of a medium weight (new or gently used)

**Diapers and blankets (similar to this) are in most need**

We will be collecting these items from April 10-17 and drop off locations are as follows:

• 5 Wynnewood Rd, Wellesley
• 78 Westgate Rd, Wellesley
