We have committed to filling a portion of wishlists, to help some of the 35,000 children who are currently engaged with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Massachusetts. These children are not with their own families and are deserving of a gift to make the holidays a little brighter.

3) Wellesley Public School Children - COMPLETED! THANK YOU!!
Please consider sponsoring a child for this Holiday Gift Drive supporting more than 130 Wellesley Public School children in need. Previously, this was organized by Kids Backing Kids, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helped fulfill wish lists of children in need in Wellesley and surrounding towns but sadly, the organization has since dissolved. WPS Cares is helping to organize these donations in advance of the holidays this year, and we need your support! WPS Cares collaborated with school and town social workers to gather holiday wish lists from 136 children in need across town. Here’s how you can help:

You can sponsor one or more children by purchasing the items from their personalized wish lists. Please CLICK HERE to be a Gift Sponsor! We kindly ask for a budget of $150 per child, though you are welcome to split a wish list with a neighbor. Designated drop-off locations are in the link, or you can coordinate a pick-up time with one of our CARES volunteers. All gift items must be unwrapped and available to be dropped off or picked up by December 12th (Friday)
